QA Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF)
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been designed to provide Learner's with the knowledge and skills to effectively quality assure vocational based qualifications.
The QA Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) is intended for those who wish to work in quality assurance in a wide range of environments such as Further Education (FE) Colleges, Independent Training organisations or Local Authorities. This qualification is also suitable for those who currently work in a teaching/assessing role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills in internal quality assurance.
During this course, Learners will build an understanding of the principles and practices of internal quality assurance within a vocational education setting. Topics include: context and principles of internal quality assurance, techniques and criteria for monitoring the quality of assessment, legal and good practice requirements for internal quality assurance of assessment and more. Learner Workbooks (Assessment Workbooks)
Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (RQF) certificate personalised with their Centre’s details.
In order to deliver this qualification, Centres will require a minimum of 1 Trainer and 1 internal Quality Assurer (these cannot be the same person). Please refer to the above Qualification Specification (pages 5-6) to check the qualification approval requirements for these positions. Centres will also need to have appropriate policies, systems and procedures in place as well as suitable and adequate venues, equipment and learning resources. For further details on Centre requirements, please consult pages 5-7 of the Qualification Specification above.
Centres must submit their own course overview, lesson plans, scheme of work, etc. at least 20 working days prior to the delivery of their first course in order to have them approved by Qualsafe Awards.
