QA Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with a basic introduction to health and safety in the workplace, including the role that everyone plays in maintaining a safe working environment.
The QA Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) has been designed for all employees working in different types of environments to help raise their awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
During this half day course, Learners will develop a basic knowledge of health and safety issues such as: hazards and risks in the workplace, workplace conditions that can affect health and safety, and the requirements for workplace procedures. Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) certificate personalised with their Centre’s details.
In order to deliver this qualification, Centres will require a minimum of 1 Trainer and 1 Internal Quality Assurer (these cannot be the same person). Please refer to the above Qualification Specification (pages 5-6) to check the qualification approval requirements required for these positions. Centres will also need to have appropriate policies, systems and procedures in place as well as suitable and adequate venues, equipment and learning resources.
