QA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF)
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification has been designed to provide Learners with the knowledge and skills required to competently carry out their roles and responsibilities in safeguarding and protecting, young people and adults at risk of harm.
The QA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF) qualification is intended for those who are working with children, young people and adults at risk, including those in voluntary or unpaid positions. This qualification is also suitable for those who have a specific responsibility in safeguarding and protecting in environments such as the NHS, education providers and social services.
During this 1/2 day course, Learners will develop a greater understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults. Topics covered include: safeguarding and protection responsibilities, different forms of abuse and how to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse.

Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Children, Young People and Adults at Risk (RQF) certificate personalised with their Centre’s details.
In order to deliver this qualification, Centres will require a minimum of 1 Trainer/Assessor and 1 Internal Quality Assurer (these cannot be the same person). Please refer to the above Qualification Specification (pages 13 -14) to check the Training/Assessing and Quality Assurance qualifications, and occupational knowledge and competence required for these positions. Centres will also need to have appropriate policies, systems and procedures in place, as well as suitable and adequate venues, equipment and learning resources.
