QA Level 2 Award in the Principles of Infection Prevention and Control (RQF)

This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding in the principles of infection prevention and control.

Intended Audience

The QA Level 2 Award in the Principles of Infection Prevention and Control (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility in infection prevention and control within their job roles, such as: the NHS or other healthcare environments.

Course OverviewQualification Specification

Over a half day period, Learners will develop a greater understanding of the principles of infection prevention and control. Centre Requirements

In order to deliver this qualification, Centres will require a minimum of 1 Trainer and 1 Internal Quality Assurer (these cannot be the same person). Please refer to the Assessment Principles for Regulated First Aid Qualifications and the above Qualification Specification (Pages 12-14) to check the Training/Assessing and Quality Assurance qualifications, and occupational knowledge and competence required for these positions. Centres will also need to have appropriate policies, systems and procedures in place, as well as suitable and adequate venues, equipment and learning resources.
