This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding in food safety supervision.
The QA Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering (RQF) has been specifically designed for those who work, or are preparing to work, in a supervisory role within a catering environment. This qualification may also be suitable for individuals who own or manage small catering businesses.
During this 3 day course, Learners will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to supervise food safety in a catering environment. Topics covered include: good food hygiene, the importance of safety management procedures, the role of the supervisor in the catering environment, and requirements for monitoring, recording and evaluating procedures. Multiple Choice Question Papers and Assessment Guides
Successful Learners will receive a QA Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering (RQF) certificate personalised with their Centre’s details.
In order to deliver this qualification, Centres will require a minimum of 1 Trainer and 1 Internal Quality Assurer (these cannot be the same person). Please refer to the above Qualification Specification (pages 5-6) to check the qualification approval requirements required for these positions. Centres will also need to have appropriate policies, systems and procedures in place as well as suitable and adequate venues, equipment and learning resources.
